Oracle Developer
Roles and Responsibilities
- Experience using bulking techniques, oracle collections
- Projects must be worthy of being held up as an example for others to follow, in terms of readability, consistency, adherence to standards, and performance tuning
- Understanding of data warehousing and reporting as well as multitenancy and Oracle Security best practices is plus
- Read/write .xml and .json files using SQL and PL/SQL
- Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code.
- Create and maintain optimal data pipeline architecture.
- Assemble large, complex data sets that meet functional / non-functional business requirements.
- Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the applications.
- Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to these problems.
- Able to tune the slow running application queries, be able to analyze the root cause of slowness.
- Ready to learn new technologies required in the project.
- Build the infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources using SQL and big data technologies.
- Be able to propose best practices and standards, handover to the operations
- Able to interpret AWR, ADDM report, Oracle query running, DBA and Oracle package understanding.
- Good knowledge on read explain plans and generate SQL advisory reports.
- Perform the testing of software prototypes and transfer to the operational team.
- Processing of data using Oracle, Hive, Impala & HBASE.
- Performing analysis of large data sets and derive insight.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- Development of high quality database solutions
- Develop, implement and optimize stored procedures and functions using PL/SQL
- Review and interpret ongoing business report requirements
- Build appropriate and useful reporting deliverables
- Analyze existing SQL queries for performance improvements
- Ability to write new PL/SQL queries for new projects
- Creating scripts to generate the data for reports developed in Oracle reports as per user requirements.
- Creating Oracle Database objects based on the new requirement Tables, Indexes, views, partitions, constraints, triggers etc.,)
- Writing SQL, PL/SQL programs, Packages, Stored procedures, Functions and Triggers to automate the interface processes for daily/incremental loads.
- Exposure to performance tuning and SQL tuning of large database environments
- Experience with Oracle 10g, 11g and 12c
