Roles and Responsibilities:

• Strong knowledge and must have hands-on experience on AIX, PowerVM, PowerHA and HMC VIO upgrades/adapter firmware upgrades/VIO failover/maintenance procedures HMC updates/frame upgrades/Live partition mobility/DLPAR/troubleshooting HMC issues
• Good Understanding on PowerHA installation and configuration.
• Resource Group configurations. PowerHA Failover planning and configuration.
• Planning and implementing Disaster Recovery exercises for the PowerHA and Storage Replication scenarios.
• Good understanding of AIX Networking like Shared Ethernet Adapter, Etherchannel, Virtual Network configurations & Install and configure AIX operating systems and servers.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and support AIX-based solutions.
• Support AIX OS to run various software applications.
• Maintain and upgrade the AIX OS , Develop procedures for AIX security and management & Develop performance improvement initiatives for AIX system environment.
• Identify and resolve system issues in a timely manner.

Technical and Professional Expertise:

• 10 to 12 years of experience in AIX administration, with a focus on Level 3 support. Strong knowledge of AIX performance monitoring and tuning.
• Experience with virtualization technologies such as PowerVM
• Experience in PowerHA configuration and troubleshooting
• IBM Certified System Administrator – AIX Experience with IBM Power Systems hardware. Familiarity with other UNIX/Linux operating systems.
• Strong Communication & presentation skills - Ability and experience in leading Architectural & Design Workshops
