Celebrating HCLTech’s commitment to the Singapore's arts scene

Singapore, August, 20 2024 HCLTech was honoured with the ‘Friend of the Arts Award’ distinction at the 41st edition of the Patron of the Arts Awards this evening. This accolade highlights HCLTech’s contribution to the development of the local arts scene and as a corporate organisation that supports and enriches the arts community in Singapore.

The annual award, organised by the National Arts Council (NAC), champions the arts in Singapore and is a commitment to nurturing a vibrant and sustainable arts scene to enrich the lives of Singaporeans. The Patron of the Arts Awards presentation ceremony at the Pan Pacific Orchard was graced by the Guest of Honour, Mr Edwin Tong, Minister for Culture, Community and Youth & Second Minister for Law. Since 1983, the Patron of the Arts Awards has honoured organisations and individuals who have contributed significantly to the development of the arts. 

HCLTech received the ‘Friends of the Art’ award for its contribution as a major sponsor of the ‘See You See Me’ video art installation at the National Gallery Singapore, a first exhibition to focus on pioneering video installations artworks from Southeast Asia that experimented with moving images, performances and audience participation. 

Mr. Sandeep Sarkar, Senior Vice President, ASEAN, HCLTech, received the award on behalf of the company. He said, "We are deeply honored to receive the 'Friend of the Arts Award' at the Patron of the Arts Awards 2024 organized by the National Arts Council (NAC). This accolade is a wonderful recognition of HCLTech's commitment to the community and the arts in Singapore.
