HCL recognized for significant investments in enhancing business opportunities between India and France
HCL Technologies Ltd (HCL), a leading global technology company, has been named a winner at the Indo-French Business Awards (IFBA), in the category “Choose France – Indian Investment in France Award 2020”. HCL was chosen as the winner for its significant investment in France and efforts to further strengthen the business relationship between India and France.
Now in its third year, the IFBA is organized by the Indo-French Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IFCCI) in partnership with Business France, the national agency supporting the international development of the French economy. The “Choose France – Indian Investment in France Award 2020” category was introduced this year to recognize the efforts made by an Indian company in France to enhance the Indo-French Business Corridor.
France has been a key focus market for HCL during its 12-year presence in the country. HCL has invested in a new state-of-the-art office in Paris, a data center and a delivery center in Lyon, and another data center in Toulouse to spearhead R&D efforts, drive further growth, and attract more local talent to its workforce. Since 2009, HCL has partnered with more than 22 Global 2000 companies in France, supporting them in technology innovation, complex engineering, and business transformation.
This year, more than 120 entries were submitted for the IFBA by companies in India and France, across 13 categories. The awards ceremony took place over a formal dinner in New Delhi, India. Business leaders and senior figures, including French Ambassador, H.E. Emmanuel Lenain, and the Honorable Minister for Roads, Transport and Highways and MSME, India, Nitin Gadkari, attended the event.
