Job description:

As a Blue Planet Inventory Manager, you will be at the forefront of managing our network and service inventory. You ll play a critical role in ensuring efficient resource utilization, optimizing workflows, and maintaining accurate records.

Responsibilities

Unified Inventory View: Develop and maintain a unified view of hybrid resources and services across multiple domains using Blue Planet Inventory (BPI).

Auto-Discovery and Federation: Leverage BPI s state-of-the-art graph database technology to accurately model and visualize complex, dynamic networks.

Optimal Path Routing: Evaluate and determine optimal path routing for network efficiency.

Legacy System Decommissioning: Identify and decommission legacy inventory systems, ensuring a streamlined and up-to-date inventory.

Power Consumption Analysis: Evaluate power consumption of network devices and identify opportunities for optimization.

Vendor-Agnostic Integration: Work with open APIs to integrate BPI with other systems and ensure interoperability.

Sustainability Focus: Support sustainability targets by identifying reusable network devices and optimizing resource allocation.

Qualifications

Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

Inventory Management Experience: Proven experience in managing network or service inventory.

Graph Database Knowledge: Familiarity with graph databases, preferably Neo4j.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in Python, Java, or other relevant programming languages.

Problem-Solving: Analytical mindset with the ability to solve complex inventory-related challenges.

Collaboration: Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.

Nice-to-Have

Familiarity with graph visualization tools (e.g., Bloom).

Understanding of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP)

• To prepare and submit status reports for minimizing exposure and risks on the project or closure of escalations.
• To develop and guide the team members in enhancing their technical capabilities and increasing productivity
• To ensure process compliance in the assigned module, and participate in technical discussionsorreview as a technical consultant for feasibility study (technical alternatives, best packages, supporting architecture best practices, technical risks, breakdown into components, estimations).
• To be responsible for providing technical guidance or solutions ;define, advocate, and implement best practices and coding standards for the team.
