Job description:
The Project Manager is responsible for creating realistic and achievable plans that aligns to Platform expectations and standard processes. Project Manager will also ensure the resources and skills are used within agreed parameters of cost, timescales, and quality. The Project Manager is the point of contact and accountable for the projects they are assigned to. A Project Manager will be managing multiple projects spread across different Portfolio and successfully driving the projects to closure. Responsibilities Define project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with management and stakeholders. Ensures that realistic project and quality plans are prepared and maintained. Manage and drive projects through the entire lifecycle Design, Build, Transition (handover to RUN) and project closure. ` Tracks all activities against the project plan, providing regular and accurate reports to stakeholders, as appropriate and manages stakeholder expectations. Manages day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope. Effectively estimates costs, timescales, and resource requirements for the successful delivery of the projects. Monitors budgets, timescales and resources used, and acts where these deviate from agreed tolerances. Define and manage overall project risk identification and mitigation process through interaction with stakeholders and Technical Teams. Ensures successful transition of all environments to the RUN organization with all the required documents. Ensures project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately Ensures that projects are formally closed, and the lessons learned are captured and actioned. Evaluates and makes recommendations/decisions on technical options as appropriate working with the Design Architect team. Ensure that projects are delivered in line with processes, standards and engagement model. Help resolve issues affecting the infrastructure including performance, process, and service issues, during the Project and PGLS Phase. Identifies, assesses, and manages risks to the success of the project. KEY SKILLS Excellent communication skills. Demonstrable ability to communicate effectively at all levels, including oral, written, presentation and the ability to successfully influence others. Demonstrable ability to identify, analyze and solve problems in a logical and effective way, including root cause analysis and actions to solve the problem. Enthusiastic, energetic, and self-motivated with good time management skills. Good Team Motivation Skills Good knowledge of any Project Management Tools (MS Project) Experience in Methods and techniques associated with planning and monitoring progress of projects. Experience in the identification, assessment, and management of project risks, which could result in time or cost over-runs, or failure to deliver products which are fit for purpose. Analytical thinking - Understanding of a problem or situation by breaking it down systematically into its component parts and identifying the relationships between these parts. Stakeholder management. Good to have IT skills - Including - Hardware, O/S, Databases, Storage, Enterprise Applications (SAP), Virtualization
- To provide support for on call escalations and doing root cause analysis of given issue
- To independently resolve tickets within agreed SLA of ticket volume and time
