Job description:
Job Purpose
TSM L3 are responsible for providing troubleshooting solutions and to see smooth implementation of Changes in the Enterprise Platform under change management process
Work with Customer, various teams SME, and stakeholders to complete tasks such as providing inputs in performance analysis and capacity management.
Tasks include high level troubleshooting and changed request execution.
Provide mentoring and guidance to L2 team members
Able to adapt to changing business requirements and react quickly
Able to learn technical concepts quickly and apply them effectively.
Job Scope
Providing escalated level of support in areas of implementation , configuration and administration of TSM backup environment.
Works with Various stakeholders on areas such as performance analysis and Capacity Management.
Key requirements:
Should have 6 + years of solid experience in implementation and administration of Tivoli Storage Manager (TSM Server 6.x version)
Should have experience of DRM (Disaster Recovery) and Tape offsite management process
Should have experience in VTL tape library, Data Domain, IBM tape libraries, Tape drives DLT/LTO/3590/T10000, Sun Storagetek
Should have hands on experience in IBM Tivoli Storage Manager for Databases (Oracle, DB2, SQL etc.)
Experience in Tivoli Data protector in cluster configuration
Knowledge of TSM upgrade process from 5.x to 6.x
Knowledge of TSM for NDMP, Data deduplication (TSM server/client dedup)
Knowledge of Lan free Storage agent is a must.
Should have knowledge of OS flavours like Unix, Windows , etc.
Data Center management or Vendor Management experience is also desirable as they need to be handling this for sIT Solutions.
Should have good communication and customer interaction skills.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting (problem determination/resolution) skills.
Optimize environment to ensure maximum system availability, performance and reliability.
Knowledge of ITIL or equivalent processes (Incident, Change Process and Problem Management) is a must
Background:
The candidate should be degree educated and needs to have at least 6 plus years solid experience of Tivoli storage Manager of the System & Subsystem on Enterprise platform technologies stacks across Server (Unix and Wintel), Database, Middleware & Storages
Added advantage to German Speaking candidates
Technology buzzwords:
Knowledge of Backup products like TSM, NetBackup, Networker.
Tape solutions like VTL (Virtual tape library), Data domain IBM tape library, Oracle SL8500, ACSLS. 3590 LTO DLT, T10000
Monitoring and reporting tool.
Tools: Tivoli performance viewer, Remedy, Word, Visio, Excel etc.
Server AIX, Solaris, Linux & Windows Server
Knowledge of Storage product suits like EMC (VMAX2, VNX 5000, Clariion Cx4, Centera A33EA) , NetApp (FAS 6000 series, FAS 3000 series, FAS 2000 series)
Database stacks like Oracle & SQL
Web & Middleware stacks like WebLogic Application server, MQ, Apache, Tomcat, and IIS.
TSM for Virtual Environment
- To provide support for on call escalations and doing root cause analysis of given issue
- To independently resolve tickets within agreed SLA of ticket volume and time
- To adhere to quality standards, regulatory requirements and company policies
- Work on value adding activities such Knowledge base update & management, Training freshers, coaching analysts
- To ensure positive customer experience and CSAT through First Call Resolution and minimum rejected resolutions / Reopen Cases
