Job Description: IT Service Delivery Director
Job Summary: The IT Service Delivery Director is responsible for overseeing and managing the delivery of IT services to ensure they meet organizational needs and standards. This role involves leading a team of IT professionals, optimizing service delivery processes, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
1. Service Delivery Strategy: Develop and implement a strategic vision for IT service delivery in alignment with the organization's goals.
2. Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of IT professionals, including managers, technicians, and support staff.
3. Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve service delivery processes to enhance efficiency and quality.
4. Service Level Agreements (SLAs): Establish, monitor, and report on SLAs to ensure services are delivered within agreed-upon timeframes and quality standards.
5. Budget Management: Manage the IT service delivery budget, including resource allocation and cost control.
6. Vendor Management: Oversee relationships with third-party service providers and vendors to ensure they meet contractual obligations.
7. Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks related to service delivery, including security and compliance concerns.
8. Performance Monitoring: Implement performance metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess and improve service delivery.
9. Stakeholder Communication: Communicate with senior management and stakeholders regarding service delivery status, issues, and improvements.
10. Technology Adoption: Stay current with emerging technologies and industry best practices to drive innovation and improvement in service delivery.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in IT service delivery management, with a track record of successful leadership.
Strong understanding of ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) framework and best practices.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Knowledge of project management methodologies.
Familiarity with budget management and financial analysis.
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
IT certifications (e.g., ITIL, PMP) may be advantageous.
