VMware & Windows JD
VMware L3:
Good Knowledge in VMware Hypervisor version 6.x, 7.x and 8.x
Good Knowledge in HA & DRS concepts.
Responsible to perform V2V, P2V migrations to the VMware Infrastructures.
Responsible for vCenter installations and upgrade as per the industry standards.
Good Knowledge in VMware Patch management process and implementations.
Responsible for VM Creations, VM tools and VM hardware upgrades.
Good understanding and knowledge in network switches as, Standard Switches and distributed switch configurations and troubleshooting.
Good knowledge in managing datastores in the VMware infra.
Good understanding and knowledge in managing the OEM hardware s, HPE, DELL and IBM.
Troubleshooting skills of PSOD errors, Storage SAN failures and network failures.
Good knowledge and understanding of Snapshot management, Template managements.
Responsible for troubleshooting and fixing the vulnerability management related issues to the VMware platform.
Responsible for new ESXi build, decommission and upgrade of the existing ESXi hosts.
Knowledge in managing the Zerto replication tool for the DR.
Good understanding of DR concepts.
Windows L3:
Responsible for managing the Windows Server class machines as 2008, 2012, 2016 and 2019.
Good knowledge and understanding of File servers, Print Server and Terminal server managements.
Good knowledge and understanding in managing cluster servers.
License management and activations.
Responsible for managing the windows servers patching using WSUS, SCCM tools.
Responsible for Server build and decommission process of windows OS in the environment.
Identify issues in the windows environment proactively.
Analyze server logs and provide root cause analysis during the major incidents.
Manage and maintain permissions for file servers, print servers.
Responsible for troubleshooting BSOD error and support in training L2 members.
Server build and Decommission
Must have experience in Windows failover clustering.
Must have good experience in AD Administration.
Must have worked on L3 support.
Knowledge in RAID configuration and management.
Must have strong knowledge & prior work experience of Active Directory as L3.
Knowledge of Windows Registry, including knowledge of modifying system registry to support installed applications and document configuration changes.
Strong knowledge of active directory concepts and configuration, i.e. need to understand membership in security groups, inherited groups, OU structure, etc.
DNS and DHCP troubleshooting experience.
Group policy management.
Server role placement and server sizing exposure.
Excellent troubleshooting skills.
Managing Active Directory infrastructure.
Hands on experience on migration, consolidation and Migration projects.
Experience on Merger and Demerger of active directory Environment
Candidate should have very good understanding of authentication process.
Good communications Skills, Interpersonal and willingness to excel and performance oriented.
Host and maintain server (i.e., IIS, business specific service, etc.)
Patching/software upgrades
Hardware migration
Software licenses for all member server(s) added to their OU hierarchy
Hardware maintenance for all member servers
Operating system maintenance for all non-Infrastructure-managed member servers
