Job description:
Sr. Applications Engineers
The Sr. Applications Engineer will be responsible for the development, testing and implementation of the Automated Patching Solution. He or she will work closely with the Sr. Architect to ensure that the proposed solution is viable. He or she will also work closely with the Application Owners to test and validate that the solution does not adversely affect the application.
The Sr. Application Engineer will provide Tier-1 support of the Advanced Patching Solutions as they are being developed and promoted in the production environment.
Skills needed:
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Proficient with Microsoft Office, including Visio and MS Project
Advanced coding skills in Python, Python Modules, iPython, JSON, Batch and PowerShell
Basic troubleshooting skills
Basic knowledge and understanding of point solutions, multi-tiered applications and clustered applications
Basic knowledge of sequencing, orchestration and forking
Working knowledge in Rest API development and troubleshooting
Working knowledge of Windows OS troubleshooting and integrations
Integration knowledge with applications such as Exchange, SQL Server & SharePoint
Proven proficiency with
o Ansible development and orchestration
o PowerShell module development and deployments
o Windows Packaging
o ISeC API/PowerShell knowledge
Experience working with the following applications would be a plus:
o SCCM and Software Center
o Ivanti Security Controls
o Ivanti Neurons RBVM
o Ivanti Neurons
o Qualys
o Remedy
o Planview
o Azure DevOps
- To adhere to quality standards, regulatory requirements and company policies
- To ensure positive customer experience and CSAT through First Call Resolution and minimum rejected resolutions / Reopen Cases
- To participate or contribute on EN business in creation of proposals to drive Service improvement plans.
- To independently resolve tickets & esnure that the agreed SLA of ticket volume and time are met for the team.
- To provide support for on call escalations /L3 level support and doing incident & problem management
- Work on value adding activities such Knowledge base update & management, Training freshers, coaching analysts & conducting interviews/participation in hiring drives.
