Job description:
Job Title: High Performance Computing (HPC) Consultant
Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled High-Performance Computing (HPC) Architect to design, implement, and manage our HPC infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Linux-based HPC clusters, parallel file systems, and network maintenance. This role requires a deep understanding of HPC deployment tools, configuration management, and performance tuning.
Responsibilities:
Design, architect, and oversee the implementation of Linux-based HPC clusters and storage.
Deploy physical hardware using HPC deployment tools and configuration and orchestration tools (Ansible).
Perform parallel file system (GPFS) performance tuning, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
Conduct systems benchmarking and develop automated tests for the HPC environment to ensure reliability and efficiency.
Maintain and troubleshoot Infiniband networks.
Automate and monitor the HPC user lifecycle process.
Install, configure, tune, and troubleshoot Slurm.
Plan, design, and implement a transition from the LSF scheduler to Slurm.
Manage the Slurm scheduler and translate research policies into scheduler configurations.
Consult with faculty and students to develop research pipelines for use on the HPC cluster.
Develop and maintain user lifecycle software suite in Python and implement CI/CD pipelines.
Test and automate upgrades of critical system applications using Ansible and shell scripts.
Communicate effectively with clinicians, researchers, and other team members to develop technological solutions.
Certifications:
Certified HPC Professional (CHPC) or equivalent.
Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) or equivalent.
Ansible Certification.
Relevant certifications in network management and performance tuning.
- To adhere to quality standards, regulatory requirements and company policies
- To ensure positive customer experience and CSAT through First Call Resolution and minimum rejected resolutions / Reopen Cases
- To participate or contribute on EN business in creation of proposals to drive Service improvement plans.
- To independently resolve tickets & esnure that the agreed SLA of ticket volume and time are met for the team.
- To provide support for on call escalations /L3 level support and doing incident & problem management
- Work on value adding activities such Knowledge base update & management, Training freshers, coaching analysts & conducting interviews/participation in hiring drives.
Compensation and Benefits
A candidate’s pay within the range will depend on their skills, experience, education, and other factors permitted by law. This role may also be eligible for performance-based bonuses subject to company policies. In addition, this role is eligible for the following benefits subject to company policies: medical, dental, vision, pharmacy, life, accidental death & dismemberment, and disability insurance; employee assistance program; 401(k) retirement plan; 10 days of paid time off per year (some positions are eligible for need-based leave with no designated number of leave days per year); and 10 paid holidays per year.
