Launching Digital Transformation Excellence Awards 2025, Malaysia

The inaugural Digital Transformation Excellence Awards 2025 commemorates the 26th year of HCLTech in Malaysia and recognizes outstanding achievements in across various industries in Malaysia. These awards will celebrate organizations that have demonstrated exceptional innovation, strategic vision and impactful implementation of digital initiatives.

It brings together industry leaders, innovators and technology thought leaders to explore the latest trends, strategies and best practices driving digital transformation across various sectors. With a focus on innovation, disruption and collaboration, the Digital Transformation Excellence Awards provides a platform for networking, knowledge sharing and inspiration.

Award Categories

The award seeks to recognize the work of outstanding individuals and their teams from organizations in the public sector that have transformed their services, operations, functions or policies to be more citizen-centric, responsive and resource effective.

Private Sector

The award seeks to recognize the work of outstanding individuals and their teams from organizations that demonstrate innovation and disruptive products that have business and societal impact. Thee winning team must also demonstrate the use of cutting-edge technologies such as AI and data analytics.

Special Category - Tech for Good Award

Celebrating organizations that have demonstrated a commitment to social responsibility by leveraging digital technologies to address societal challenges, promote inclusivity, and drive positive social impact.

Participation Criteria

The awards celebrate outstanding leaders and their achievements in data analytics, cloud transformation, customer experience, cybersecurity and emerging technologies.

The awards aim to inspire and motivate businesses to embrace digitalization, enhance their competitiveness and adapt to the rapidly evolving digital landscape by highlighting successful digital transformation projects and strategies.

These awards are free to enter, and they will be judged by an independent panel of experts drawn from the trade, academia and other thought leaders.

Nomination Process:

Organizations could self-nominate or be nominated by others through the official awards website.

Nominees are required to submit detailed information about their digital transformation initiatives, including objectives, strategies, implementation process, outcomes and impact.

Nominations are reviewed by an independent selection panel comprised of industry experts, academics and thought leaders.

The invitation to submit nominations is now open and will close on January 15, 2025.

Capability – Instant consumer lending

Any technology leader, practitioner, firm or end-user can nominate themselves and their projects. However, technology firms must verify and confirm their nominations with the end-user organizations for them to be valid.

Capability – Transformational banking

Nominees must have a physical presence in Malaysia

Capability – Strategic partnering in oil and gas

The nominated project should already be live, in the deployment stage or in the process of being initiated or have gone live. It must have been initiated between January 2023 and June 2024.

Capability – Insurer revitalizes agent channels

Depending on the quality of nominations received, the judges may award more than one project in a given category OR withdraw a category entirely.

Judging Process

The organizer will consolidate and validate all information in the nomination form. When necessary, the nominee will be contacted to ensure completeness of information before proceeding to the next step.

There will be a two-step assessment.

  • Nominations will be curated and assessed by the organizers' analysts
  • Judges will review the nominations and give their approval.

Diversity: Diverse judging panel for varied perspectives

Comments from the selection panel will be gathered to support the citation of eventual winners in each category.
