The client is a leading European commercial bank that provides a full range of personal, business and corporate banking services. The bank also offers a range of general insurance products, such as home, travel, car insurance, life assurance and pensions. The bank has over 10,000 virtual desktops.

The Challenge
Conventional IT infrastructure leading to operational inefficiencies and application complexities
Their legacy infrastructure hindered the client's ability to successfully support modern applications. This outdated infrastructure prohibited the deployment of new, modern applications and prevented the upgrade of existing systems. Furthermore, the end-to-end infrastructure stack was out of support, and there was limited opportunity to move applications and services to the cloud.

Our solution was designed to address the complex challenges posed by the client's existing infrastructure. We successfully navigated the migration of over 400 applications to the new platform, overcoming significant testing and operational hurdles. This resulted in a smooth transition from legacy infrastructure to a modernized, flexible and scalable infrastructure. We worked with Nutanix to help the client utilize Nutanix Enterprise Cloud's native support for a wide range of leading hardware. We also enabled deploying HPE DX servers and Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktop, which helped the client overcome their legacy infrastructure challenges. Additionally, by leveraging Nutanix solutions, we facilitated the consolidation of resources to a unified platform with automation, insights and flexibility, supporting the client’s sustainability goals.
