Client Overview
Our client is a global IT solutions provider specializing in smart mobility, digital transformation and enterprise IT services. As part of a worldwide automotive group, the company plays a key role in providing advanced automotive and smart infrastructure ecosystems worldwide.
The Challenge
The Vehicle Digital Passport is a comprehensive digital record of a vehicle's history and maintenance, enhancing customer convenience. Our client wanted to transition this service into a subscription-based model. The challenge was seamlessly implementing UX/UI enhancements to ensure a smooth transition while maintaining an intuitive customer experience.
The Objective
- Transition the Vehicle Digital Passport from a free service to a subscription-based offering
- Enhance the platform functionality with improved UI/UX features

The Solution
Introducing a Smarter subscription model with a range of innovative features that will revolutionize the way customers interact with their vehicle's digital history.
Under the guidance of HCLTech, a subscription-based Digital Passport with various features was meticulously designed and implemented.
The solution included subscription-based access, allowing users to subscribe to view service history, accident history, malfunction reports, and driving details and download PDFs on mobile and desktop. QR code-based access was introduced to enable customers to retrieve the Digital Passport through QR codes available in showrooms, workshops, and partner locations, eliminating additional connectivity requirements.
Our solution includes a subscription plan selection feature that offers users the flexibility to choose plans that best suit their needs, all via an easy-to-use overall status page.
Secure payment processing was ensured through bank payment gateway integration, incorporating robust encryption for safe transactions, modeled after implementing the CCS billing project. A digital access card was also introduced, displaying real-time subscription status such as active, renewal needed, and expired within the overall status page.
SAP integration was deployed for financial management and automation to facilitate financial reconciliation and streamline business processes.
Payment and invoice management features let users view their payment history and download invoices and payment certificates post-transaction. Admin control and enhanced reporting capabilities allowed administrators to create, edit, and manage subscription plans effectively.
The Digital Passport report within the admin portal was enhanced with additional parameters. At the same time, the MIS Reporting Suite introduced new reports, including Subscription Renewal and Cancellation, Daily Consolidation and Total Collection, Internal Car Subscription Trends, GST and Compliance Reports, and filters by date range, VIN, customer name, subscription ID, and payment reference.
