Our client wanted to transform their technology landscape to stay updated with customer needs and improve operational efficiency. This included modernizing existing data and analytics platforms, streamlining the enterprise data warehouse hosted on the Oracle data warehouse (DW) platform and migrating the enterprise data warehouse (EDW) from Oracle to Snowflake cloud data warehouse on Azure. Additionally, they needed to implement end-to-end data flows for clients’ functional business units using a cloud-based analytics platform. This was accomplished using IBM DataStage and Pentaho as extract, transform and load (ETL) and Oracle business intelligence enterprise edition (OBIEE) as reporting. Furthermore, Informatica intelligent cloud services (IICS) was used for batch processing while high volume replicator (HVR) was utilized for real-time and change data capture (CDC) purposes.

HCLTech helped streamline our client’s data management processes and integrate intelligent capabilities. This was achieved through global adoption of Snowflake, a chosen data platform on Azure cloud, as well as enabling standardization and automation in legacy data platform migration to Snowflake. We also modernized multiple Oracle tables, HANA objects and ETL jobs to Snowflake cloud on Azure. Lastly, we enabled data visualization (DV) layer access for up and downstream consumption through views, multi-layer data security access/authorizations and provisioning of sandbox area for data science purposes.
