Network Data Engineer
Job Responsibilities:
- SME is responsible for Incident, Change, Problem, Knowledge, Availability and Capacity Management for the Network stacks.
- Cisco ACI management (ACI Nodes, VRF, Access Policy, Fabric Policies, Layer 2 or Layer 3 external configuration, AEP, Server or external network attachment etc.)
- Manage L2/L3 production/project support activities.
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills.
- Experience or familiar on tools like ticketing and monitoring tools.
- Responsible for coaching and mentoring the team members.
- Willingness to work on flexible working hours including weekends.
- Involved in Routine Operational support and troubleshooting.
- Manage monitoring and general administration of all Network devices.
- Responds to all Network alert escalations, warnings, and errors in a timely, consistent manner.
- Escalates complex issues to internal team members and third party groups as appropriate.
- Maintains relations with vendor support to ensure quick response to problems.
- Experience in core Network technologies (switching & routing), Load Balancers & DDI solutions
- Exposure in other Network Technology is an advantage.
- Willingness to learn new Network technologies & non-cisco vendor products
Job Requirements:
- Should have at least 6-8 plus years’ experience in handling production/project support L2/L3 Incident & Change Management while complying the SLAs.
- Regular infrastructure support (ticket solving) and maintenance (enhancement) work.
- Troubleshooting, Problem resolution, root cause analysis skills are required.
- Candidate should be willing to learn analyse the code, explore and build the documentation to help sharing of knowledge.
- Good verbal and written communication skills are required as job responsibility demands the interaction with customer & business.
- Work experience in a, banking & finance domain would be additional plus.
- Based on the business need and criticality, the candidate should be open to on-call support and weekend work.
- Should have expertise knowledge on DC Network (Cisco ACI, switches and routers) and other Network technologies including Load Balancers and DDI.
- Should have understanding of various devices like switches, routers, firewalls.
- Ability to read High Level Design & Low level Design, use Visio as a tool.
- Assist the L1 & L2 team in skill enhancement. Create, review & update documentations & publish them in central knowledge base
- Candidate shall be able to analyse customer requirements & provide automation solutions by mapping requirements to Ansible runbook automation
- Perform advanced troubleshooting of complex network problems and offer issue resolution.
- Establish best practices and policies for network operations to guide other network engineers in their decision making
- Must have strong Documentation abilities.
- Must be able to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- German language knowledge is an advantage
- Experience of high availability and DR configuration and setup is desired.
- Expertise in working with cross-functional teams to gather quality information and make recommendations
- Any certification on network will be additional advantage. Technology buzzwords:
- Network automation with Ansible or similar tools, Zabbix monitoring
- Cisco ACI, Netscaler Load balancers, Bluecat DDI Recommended Certification:
- CCNA, CCNP (R&S , Security or Data Centre Track)
- CCIE (Data Center)
