Roles and Responsibilities:

• This position will be responsible to act in ServiceNow Configuration Items (CI) analysis and implementation, as well as knowledge of ServiceNow CMDB modules and supporting modules like ITOM and ITAM.
• The ideal candidate should have an understanding of configuration management principles and be interested in learning and taking on complex tasks. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are necessary for interacting with customer IT and business management.
• The Configuration Librarian responsibilities include controlling the receipt, storage, and withdrawal of CIs, maintaining CI records, tracking changes and incidents, and producing reports.
• The ServiceNow CI Librarian responsibilities involve identifying and maintaining status information on CIs, conducting audits, delivering Configuration Management services, and engaging with strategic projects.
• Additionally, the role requires gathering and documenting requirements, analyzing business problems, providing technical assistance, and assessing system impacts.

Experience/Exposure:

• Experience in ServiceNow Configuration Items (CI) analysis, and implementation of CI attributes, relationships, etc.
• Knowledge of ServiceNow CMDB modules and additional supporting modules such as ITOM and ITAM will be helpful.
• Understanding and experience in configuration management principles Interest in learning and taking on increasingly complex tasks
• Excellent communications skills required - verbally with all levels of customer IT and business management, as well as written with technical assessments and project related reports.
• Demonstrated self-direction and attention to detail with ability to work in a fast paced and changing environment with short deadlines.

• Configuration Librarian responsibilities: The Configuration Librarian is the custodian and guardian of all master copies of software, hardware, virtual and documentation CIs registered with Configuration Management.
• The major tasks of this role are: to control the receipt, identification, storage, and withdrawal throughout the Life Cycle of all supported CIs to provide information on the status of CIs to maintain and distribute Configuration Management Health reports to maintain completeness and accuracy of the Business Application CI record and its attributes to ensure changes are tracked and applied to the CI to ensure incidents are tracked for the Business application using the CI Specific.
• ServiceNow CI Librarian responsibilities are : assist in the identification of products and CIs maintain current status information on CIs accept and record the receipt of new or revised configurations into the library issue copies of products for review, change, correction or information produce configuration status.
• Health reports assist in conducting configuration audits perform the day-to-day delivery of Configuration Management services with minimal direction focusing work on prioritized tasks.
• Perform operational activities as defined by Configuration Management policies and procedures work to fulfill Configuration Management Service Requests as assigned.
• Engage with strategic projects to ensure Configuration Management can deliver required functionality within project timeframes mentor and educate on Configuration Management services, concepts, policies and procedures collect and report Health metrics as required identify and report non-compliance CI situations.
• Take the subnet ownership data from Network engineers and reach out to the provided contacts Confirm ownership, verify data, and collect Hostname, IP(s), Serial Number, AD group.
• Update the data in Snow/CMDB Verify the discovery between SNOW and devices Hand-off technical discovery issues to ITOM engineers Responsible for gathering, analyzing, and creating comprehensive work products documenting requirements, including validation and traceability, for existing and new applications supporting various business channels.
• Communication between organizational units to align the needs of business units in order to create requirement work products for solution providers. Plans, directs, and completes the analysis of business problems to be solved or product/services to be developed for delivery.
• Provides technical assistance in identifying, evaluating, and developing systems and procedures Assesses system impacts, provides gap and process analysis (1.) To independently resolve tickets and ensure that the agreed SLA of ticket volume and time are met for the team.
