In this edition of ‘She the Future’, we meet Muskan, a TechBee turned Software Engineer at HCLTech. Here’s her STEM story:

“From a young age, I was fascinated by computers and how they worked. My wide-eyed fascination coupled with my lifelong desire to help people drew me to the STEM shores aboard the TechBee boat.

Sheryl Sandberg, the former COO of Meta and a strong advocate for women in technology, is one of my biggest STEM role models. Her leadership and commitment to increasing opportunities for women in technology have inspired me immensely and I hope to follow in her footsteps as I advance in my career. Hopefully, one day, I too can be a mentor and role model for women in STEM and can help create more opportunities for underrepresented groups in the tech.

I've also drawn inspiration from our chairperson, Roshni Nadar Malhotra, the first woman to lead an Indian publicly traded IT company. My colleagues at HCLTech have also been a source of inspiration and have been extremely helpful in my professional development.

I'd like to encourage young girls who want to pursue STEM careers to never give up on their dreams. Always look for ways to learn and grow. The technology industry can be difficult, but with perseverance and hard work, you can move mountains here.”
