HCL, Cisco Announce Alignment around Vertical Solutions
Since the inception of their strategic relationship in 1996, HCL and Cisco have been delivering joint solutions to their customers to keep up with the pace of technological developments. For instance, the cloud managed services platform of HCL, which is powered by Cisco UCS. However, with the change from “Technology-led” transformation to “Business-led” transformation in the customer’s industries, the two have re-defined their approach to joint solutions.
UPM to outsource part of its IT services to HCL
Approximately 250 UPM employees globally are within the scope of the planned outsourcing. Transferring UPM employees are expected to move to HCL upon closing, which is expected to take place at the end of August 2012, subject to signing of local transfer agreements and customary closing conditions.

HCL wins ICD 10 transformation deal with Blue Shield of California
According to the agreement, HCL’s Proprietary ICD 10 Transformation Framework will help Blue Shield of California to transition people, processes, and technology from ICD-9 to ICD-10. HCL’s ICD 10 Transition framework with built-in proprietary tools, takes a comprehensive approach to assessment & remediation, and automates a significant amount of the transition exercise to streamline compliance efforts.
