Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Data Management Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing, archiving, migrating, and maintaining our enterprise data using the Solix Enterprise Data Management Suite (EDMS). This role requires a deep understanding of data governance, compliance, and the ability to handle large-scale data management projects.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Data Archiving:
Implement and manage data archiving solutions to handle data growth efficiently.
Ensure archived data is easily retrievable and maintains its integrity.
2. Data Management:
Oversee data governance and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Maintain data quality across all databases and systems.
3. Data Migration:
Plan and execute data migration projects, ensuring minimal downtime and data integrity.
Collaborate with IT and business teams to understand data migration needs.
4. Application Retirement:
Manage the decommissioning of legacy applications while ensuring continued access to historical data.
Develop strategies to retain and retrieve data from retired applications.
5. Big Data and Analytics:
Support big data initiatives by managing data storage, retrieval, and analysis using platforms like Hadoop.
Work with data analysts and business intelligence teams to provide data insights.
Qualifications:
Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Proven experience with Solix EDMS or similar enterprise data management tools.
Strong understanding of data governance, compliance, and data quality principles.
Experience with data archiving, migration, and application retirement.
Familiarity with big data platforms such as Hadoop.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master s degree in a relevant field.
Certification in data management or related areas.
Experience with other data management tools and platforms.
Knowledge of industry best practices for data management and archiving.
- To be responsible for providing technical guidance or solutions ;define, advocate, and implement best practices and coding standards for the team.
- To develop and guide the team members in enhancing their technical capabilities and increasing productivity
- To ensure process compliance in the assigned module, and participate in technical discussionsorreview as a technical consultant for feasibility study (technical alternatives, best packages, supporting architecture best practices, technical risks, breakdown into components, estimations).
- To prepare and submit status reports for minimizing exposure and risks on the project or closure of escalations.
