Senior Tester (CAN)
Job Summary
The Senior Tester specializing in CAN (Controller Area Network) plays a crucial role in ensuring software quality through rigorous testing of embedded systems applications. This position is vital for maintaining high standards of functionality and performance, directly contributing to client satisfaction and the overall success of the organization.
- Key Responsibilities
1. Create And Review Test Cases Derived From Functional Specifications And Software Requirement Specification Documents, Ensuring Comprehensive Coverage Of Requirements In Can-Based Applications.
2. Execute Functionality Tests According To The Test Plan And Associated Test Cases, Validating The Performance And Reliability Of Embedded Software Systems.
3. Collaborate In The Development Of Test Plans Through Active Contribution And Insight Based On Assigned Work And Project Requirements.
4. Track Test Coverage, Defect Density, And Other Relevant Metrics Using Testing Tools, And Publish Progress Reports To Stakeholders To Inform On Project Status.
5. Coordinate Discussions With Team Members For Effective Testing Strategies And Interact With Clients For Updates, Ensuring Clear Communication And Alignment On Project Goals.Skill Requirements
1. Strong Understanding Of Can Protocols And Application Development For Embedded Systems.
2. Proficient In Creating And Reviewing Test Cases And Executing Software Validation Processes.
3. Familiarity With Defect Tracking Tools And Reporting Metrics Related To Software Quality Assurance.
4. Basic Knowledge Of Embedded Systems Architecture And Functionality.Certification
1. Optional But Valuable: Istqb Certified Tester Foundation Level (Ctfl)
2. Optional But Valuable: Certified Software Testing Professional (Cstp)
Compensation and Benefits
A candidate’s pay within the range will depend on their skills, experience, education, and other factors permitted by law. This role may also be eligible for performance-based bonuses subject to company policies. In addition, this role is eligible for the following benefits subject to company policies: medical, dental, vision, pharmacy, life, accidental death & dismemberment, and disability insurance; employee assistance program; 401(k) retirement plan; 10 days of paid time off per year (some positions are eligible for need-based leave with no designated number of leave days per year); and 10 paid holidays per year.
