Job description:
B. Tech in Chemical Engineering (with a focus on bioprocess engineering) or B. Tech in Biotechnology with 7+ years of full-time biomolecule MFG Process Experience (or) M. Tech/MS in Chemical Engineering or Biotechnology with 4+ years of full time Bio MFG Process experience
Extensive experience in manufacturing biologics proteins, mAbs, DNA or vaccine products made of large molecules, with a good understanding of fermentation/cell culture, media preparation, buffer preparation and purification of biologics using UF/DF and Chromatography
Proficient in MS Office, particularly in MS Excel and MS PowerPoint
Good ancillary knowledge on pharma industry like regulatory science, clinical affairs, and early R&D preferred
Develop a cost model for various large molecules of interest for the customer using sound understanding of large-scale biomolecule (proteins, enzymes, DNA, RNA) production.
Perform Should Costing of procured biologics by mapping the end-to-end manufacturing process, workflow, scale, and process economics.
Use sound engineering judgement for key assumptions like step yield, % loss, mass and material balances, energy balances, and % recovery for the various process steps.
Be able to make engineering judgements for inputs that are not easily available from customers and online resources for should-costing.
Be the technical liaison between HCLTech and future Biopharma customers.
Understand customer s pain points and challenges and provide customer intelligence to HCLTech for potential business expansion and growth.
Drive Pharma business with the customer/account by identifying their needs and connecting them with the right HCL service providers (delivery CoEs)
