Job description:
Job Overview:
We are looking for a skilled M365 Exchange Engineer with extensive experience in Exchange Online and on-premises Exchange environments, including hands-on experience in migration projects. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, and associated technologies, and will play a critical role in ensuring smooth migration and post-migration support.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, design, and implement migrations from on-premises Exchange or other email systems to Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online).
Provide technical leadership and support during Exchange Online migration projects.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to mail flow, mailbox migrations, and hybrid configurations.
Maintain and configure Exchange Online environments, including security settings, compliance policies, mail flow, and spam filtering.
Perform health checks and ensure optimal performance of Exchange Online and on-premises Exchange servers.
Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure migration goals are met.
Provide post-migration support, including end-user training and documentation.
Implement email security measures and ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards.
Automate administrative tasks using PowerShell for bulk migrations, reporting, and operational efficiency.
Assist with identity and access management solutions as it pertains to Microsoft 365 and Exchange Online.
Qualifications:
Bachelor s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
5+ years of experience in administering and managing Exchange Online and/or on-premises Exchange environments.
Proven experience in migrating large-scale organizations from on-premises Exchange (2010/2013/2016) to Exchange Online.
Experience with hybrid Exchange environments and troubleshooting complex mail flow issues.
Strong understanding of Microsoft 365 ecosystem, including Azure AD, Intune, and other related services.
Proficiency with PowerShell for automation and scripting.
Experience in email security, spam filtering, and compliance policies.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Microsoft certifications (e.g., MS-203: Microsoft 365 Messaging, MS-100/101) are a plus.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with other migration tools, such as Quest Migration Manager, BitTitan, or similar.
Knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, and networking as they pertain to email systems.
Familiarity with Exchange monitoring and performance tuning tools.
Experience working in regulated industries (finance, healthcare, etc.) and knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance regulations.
- To clearly understand the client's cybersecurity environment and respective product.
- To monitor, configure, and troubleshoot cybersecurity issues and related monitoring tools
- To analyse and validate cybersecurity incidents in-detail and help the L3 team with RCAordata or logs collection
- To enable knowledge transferortrainings through creationor maintenance of configuration documents, test plans, operational manuals and provide operational training to L1 team.
- To analyse and fine-tune cybersecurity policies, participate in cybersecurity review calls pertaining to change requests and recommendations on cybersecurity policy changes.
- To implement changes, monitor security device performance and implements performance tuning when necessary.
- To prepare analyses and reports to highlight the project progressorchallenges and ensure quality and accuracy to the client
