Job description:
Role Summary:
This position assists customers, end users at onsite or remote locations and operating staff with technical
support of desktop computers, applications, and related technology. Interaction with multiple levels of end
users, managers and local technical staff is required. Activities require interaction with application software and
operating systems to diagnose and resolve unique, non-recurring problems. A good understanding of general IT
services is required.
Primary Skills and Experience
Core competencies, knowledge and experience:
5-7 years of experience in Senior Desktop Administration and Design role.
5+ years in technologies related to End Point Security technologies (Tanium & Windows Defender).
Knowledge of ADO (Azure Dev Ops), User Stories updating and agile way of working.
Contractor will provide endpoint protection workstation antivirus services to enable endpoint device
protection from viruses and malware and enable endpoint device protection from cybersecurity
vulnerabilities.
Planning, designing, and implementing group policies in Microsoft Intune.
Install, maintain, patch, and upgrade system updates Desktop.
Review and install security and product updates.
Design, Test and Deploy Software packages when required.
Effective usage of ITSM processes (Incident Management, Problem Management, Change
Management).
Ensure software packages are available through the Company portal(s) for retrieval by Company s
resources as a convenient, cost-effective, secure and reliable means of software deployment to
workstations.
Ensure that all process are followed effectively during the entire life cycle management of the package
(Work Intake, Packaging, Quality Assurance, UAT, Deployment to Production), including effective usage
of packaging tools in the environment.
Provide high-level consultation, support and technical expertise for Microsoft Intune & Entra.
Develop and implement project plans, risk assessments and contingency plans.
Define and document best practices and support procedures.
Provide after-hours support for infrastructure related critical incidents.
Researching and recommending new approaches to improve the Desktop environment.
Develop expertise to train staff on new technologies.
Knowledge on scripting languages such as Power Shell and Python.
SQL & C# languages would be an added value
Perform analysis based on data and reports.

Technical / professional qualifications:
High school degree or GED required. Bachelor s degree preferred.
Microsoft certifications in Modern Desktop/Intune.
Business & Behavioural Skills
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to translate IT technical language into everyday terms which users
can understand, specifically non-technical senior management.
Ability to interact with customers to ensure that the service is flexible, efficient and responsive
To work through issues analytically to a successful conclusion.
Demonstrable results in a business customer facing role, with a track record of delivering services to
defined service levels.
Experience of working with multi-discipline teams in distributed locations.
Experience of working in an Operational environment alongside other technical and operational teams,
ensuring that all parties collaborate effectively to deliver services.
Use of ITIL service management framework to deliver best practice.
Proven ability to deliver improvements that deliver greater value to the customer and business through
more efficient delivery and/or lower costs.
Self-motivated. Ability to learn new technologies on own.
Strong technical aptitude and ability to research and solve complex issues independently.
