Job description:
The position requires a senior and responsible executive who can develop and implement sustainability strategy aligned to the companies values and purpose. Key responsibilities will include:
Identify key sustainability priorities, setting goals and targets, developing roadmaps and design and lead initiatives.
Engage with internal and external stakeholders to build relationships, gather feedback, and garner support for implementing sustainability initiatives.
Assess impact and risk related to sustainability and navigate the initiatives to mitigate any risk and ensure positive impact.
Oversees the preparation and publication of sustainability reports and ensure communication with all relevant stakeholders.
Tracking Key Performance Indicators, monitor progress towards sustainability goals and conduct periodic review to ensure accuracy and reliability of data and information. Analyze sustainability performance to inform decision making and drive improvement.
Identify best practices, new technologies, and potential partnerships that can create sustainable value for the organization.
Foster a culture of sustainability within the organization by engaging employees, providing training and education on sustainability topics, and promoting employee participation in sustainability initiatives.
Collaborate with external stakeholders like industry peers, industry associations to advance sustainability goals and address shared challenges. Be the sustainability spokesperson for the company and participate in events, seminars and conferences.
Benchmark the company performance against industry best and drive continuous improvement.
Ensure compliance against all relevant regulations and applicable standards and also to client commitments.
Prepare the annual budget for sustainability initiatives.
Identify appropriate external evaluations required to validate the performance of the company and conduct them.
The role plays a critical role in guiding the organization towards a more sustainable future and this requires the person to be a strong advocate of sustainability within the organization, driving change, inspiring stakeholders and leading the transition towards a more responsive and responsible business model.
- To identify Solutions/IPs relevant to domain which can enable solution led service/development
- To evangelize solutions to internal and external stakeholders
- To develop and Manage high competency in domain and deliver solutions
- To track industry specific trends and developments
- To develop propositions and GTM
- To assimilate domain specific knowledge /collaterals across the project and derive solutions
- To identify partnership with industry and educational institutions
