Job description:
"Roles and responsibilities:-
1. Application Support: Provide business and technical application support, troubleshooting, and resolution. This includes developing ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) mappings and scripts using Informatica PowerCenter.
2. Database Skills: Work with SQL Server, Sybase, or Oracle databases. This involves deploying code across environments and maintaining proper documentation.
3. Security Configuration: Configure security domains, scheduling, and user/group synchronization with LDAP services.
4. Technical Consulting: Provide senior-level consulting and advisory services. This includes designing ETL mappings, workflows, and transformations.
5. Performance Optimization: Experience in tuning mappings, optimizing transformations, and managing workflow efficiency.
6. Collaboration: Share knowledge, consult, and communicate effectively with the team. This involves working closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
7. Documentation: Strong documentation skills to create clear, concise SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) for issue resolutions. Document common resolutions, troubleshooting steps, and best practices.
Desired skills:-
1. Informatica PowerCenter: Proficiency in using Informatica PowerCenter for ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) tasks is crucial. This includes the ability to design ETL mappings, workflows, and transformations.
2. Database Management Systems (DBMS): Knowledge of SQL Server, DB2, and Teradata is important. Understanding data warehousing concepts and data quality is also valuable.
3. Unix and XML: Familiarity with Unix operating systems and XML data formats is beneficial.
4. Performance Optimization: Experience in tuning mappings, optimizing transformations, and managing workflow efficiency is essential.
5. Security and Maintenance: Implementing upgrades, security patches, and server maintenance is a key part of the role.
6. Informatica Designer Components: Familiarity with components like Source Analyzer, Mapping Designer, Mapplet Designer, and Transformation Developer is important.
7. Technical Consulting: Providing senior-level consulting and advisory services is often required.
8. Data Warehousing: Experience in designing and constructing databases is valuable.
9. Collaboration: Sharing knowledge, consulting, and communicating effectively with the team is crucial.
Desired Experience :-
Overall 5-7 years of experience as a Service Support Engineer specializing in Informatica involving in managing and maintaining critical applications within the ASM framework
1.Minimum of 4 years of experience in a full cycle implementation as well as in support projects.
2.Minimum of 3 years of experience using Informatica PowerCenter for ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) tasks is crucial. This includes the ability to design ETL mappings, workflows, and transformations.
4.Understanding of accounting business processes.
5.Ability to understand business processes from a customer perspective.
6.Must be resourceful, adaptable, flexible, and have a can-do attitude.
7.Relevant degree such as Bachelor's or Master's Degree in, Computer Science, Business/Administration, Business, Engineering, Information Technology.
8.Certifications(Good to have):Informatica Certified Professional (ICP),Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), etc."
- To administer ERP in production environment
- To manage database optimization, back-up and recovery
- To monitor occurrences of new software releases, support packs and kernel upgrades and how these affect the application and users.
- To perform troubleshooting at the ERP and database level
- To train and transfer knowledge to the team members
