Job description:
EHS (Environmental Health & Safety) Roles and Responsibilities
EHS Representative is to perform an assessment of their business, workplace, operations, processes, products, equipment, chemicals or work tasks to determine applicability of this EHS Standard.
Data Center EHS working knowledge
General Industry OSHA 30, competent person fall protection, competent person confined space, training experience with scissor lift and boom lifts. NFPA70E trained and/or working knowledge/ experience.
Working knowledge/ experience with accident investigation/workers compensation
Monitor ladder inspection compliance daily.
Quarterly ladder inspections
Work alongside leads and project managers to ensure trainings are maintained up to date.
Participate in HCL EHS meetings, production meetings and customer meetings.
Create and maintain relations with customer EHS representatives and HCL employees.
Develop, communicate, audit and continuously improve the EHS requirements stated in this Standard. (What standard is being referred here and throughout this doc General industry OSHA )
Review, update and communicate to all Facebook locations any updates or changes to this Standard.
Periodically monitor conformance with the requirements of this Standard.
Communicate, and as applicable, support the application of lessons learned as a result of any serious or potentially serious (i.e. near miss) incidents related to this Standard.
Ensure compliance with the requirements of this Standard.
Ensure all employees and contingent workers are trained and competent in the application of this Standard as required. (This one probably gets accomplished by adequate training. A few bullet points down, training is discussed)
Ensure that adequate resources are available to implement this Standard.
Provide technical EHS support to Location Managers and Operations Managers on the implementation and ongoing maintenance of this Standard.
Must be competent and knowledgeable in the application of this Standard.
Review the content of this Standard for applicability to location operations.
Perform random and annual audit/review of the implementation of the requirements of this Standard.
Ensure that those with responsibilities under this Standard are trained and competent for their assigned responsibilities.
document risk assessments to identify, assess and control hazards in the workplace. The risk assessments must consider the relevant requirements as detailed in the Global EHS Standards.
A risk assessment must be performed for any new operation, activity or task introduced or modified, where a hazard has been introduced that has not previously been assessed.
Risk assessments must assess risks according to three levels. Each risk identified must be evaluated and either eliminated or reduced to a level which is as low as reasonably practicable (ALARP) by the implementation of suitable control measures. Each risk assessment should evaluate both the unmitigated risk and the residual risk accounting for all control measures. (utilize this pyramid)
- To provide support for on call escalations and doing root cause analysis of given issue
- To independently resolve tickets within agreed SLA of ticket volume and time
- To adhere to quality standards, regulatory requirements and company policies
- Work on value adding activities such Knowledge base update & management, Training freshers, coaching analysts
- To ensure positive customer experience and CSAT through First Call Resolution and minimum rejected resolutions / Reopen Cases
