MEXICO CITY, Mexico and NOIDA, India, Jan 13, 2025—, a leading global technology company, today announced an agreement with Carrix, the world’s largest independent marine and rail terminal operator, to improve Carrix’s global port operations with HCLTech’s advanced suite of AI of Things (AIoT) technology platform.

HCLTech will leverage its expertise in automation, AIoT and Vision AI to unify Carrix’s various terminal management tools into one optimized system to help achieve its goal towards implementing a scalable, AI-powered approach to safe and secure port operations. The integrated AIoT platform will enhance decision-making, streamline compliance processes and improve overall operational performance at Carrix’s transportation ports.

The VisionX AI Edge advanced AIoT technology platform will integrate with Carrix’s network of cameras, in-vehicle fleet management systems and sensors to generate actionable insights with real-time dashboards. As a result, these AI-powered insights will improve worker safety, situational awareness, process workflow optimization, productivity enhancement and asset health monitoring enabling increased operational efficiency and opportunity for seamless business growth across its global ports.

“As we continue our digital transformation journey, we are confident that HCLTech’s AI-led capabilities, customer-centric approach and partner ecosystem will help us achieve the desired outcome of improving safety and efficiency of our port operations,” said Jim Downing, CIO at Carrix.

“We are proud to partner with Carrix to help modernize its global port network and achieve higher standards for safety, compliance and efficiency,” said Ajay Bahl, Chief Growth Officer, Americas, MEGA Industries, HCLTech. “We look forward to working alongside Carrix as it leverages AI to transform its international business operations.”

This implementation will initially be deployed in Carrix’s transportation ports in Mexico with opportunity to expand to more of its ports located in North and South America.
