NOIDA, India, Dec 13, 2024HCLFoundation, which drives the corporate social responsibility agenda of global technology company in India, hosted the My E-Haat Conclave 2024 at the National Crafts Museum in New Delhi.

The My E-Haat initiative, through myehaat.in, links thousands of artisans across India with global consumers, providing direct market access via its unique CSR-funded online marketplace. The focus of the My E-Haat Conclave 2024 was on reviving the craft economy, ensuring sustainable livelihoods for artisans and leveraging technology to enhance market access.

This year's theme, Revitalizing the Craft Economy: Empowering Artisans, Enriching Traditions, underscores HCLTech’s commitment to fostering a sustainable future for India's artisanal community. The craft sector, comprising over 7,000,000 artisans and 35,000 unique products, is vital to the nation's economy.

"By bringing together key stakeholders, we aim to create sustainable pathways for artisans, ensuring their traditions thrive. The Conclave offered policy recommendations and fostered collaborations among artisans, NGOs and industry leaders, focusing on market access and preparing artisans to meet global demand," said Dr. Nidhi Pundhir, Senior Vice President, Global CSR, HCLFoundation.

The Conclave featured two key panels. The first on Craft Entrepreneurship and Incubation discussed sustainable ventures and capacity building, resulting in strategies for scaling enterprises. The second on Innovation and Technology Intervention focused on enhancing productivity, market reach and engagement through technology, leading to strategies for digital empowerment and design innovation.
