Senior Android Tester
Job Summary
The Senior Android Tester plays a critical role in ensuring the quality and functionality of Android applications by executing comprehensive testing strategies. This position is pivotal in maintaining high-quality standards and meeting client specifications through meticulous test case creation and execution. The incumbent will leverage their expertise in Android testing to enhance product reliability and user satisfaction.
- Key Responsibilities
1. Create And Review Test Cases Based On Functional Specifications And Software Requirement Specification Documents, Applying Standards Specific To Android Applications.
2. Execute Functional Testing As Per The Test Plan And Associated Test Cases To Ensure The Performance And Reliability Of Android Applications.
3. Contribute To The Development Of Test Plans And Strategies Tailored For Android Projects, Ensuring Comprehensive Coverage Of Functionalities.
4. Monitor And Track Key Metrics Such As Test Coverage And Defect Density, Utilizing Tools To Publish Progress Reports That Inform Stakeholders Of Testing Outcomes.
5. Collaborate With Cross-Functional Teams For Discussions, And Effectively Communicate With Clients To Provide Updates On Testing Progress And Issues.Skill Requirements
1. Strong Understanding Of Android Testing Methodologies And Tools.
2. Experience With Test Case Design And Documentation.
3. Familiarity With Defect Tracking And Test Management Tools.
4. Good Knowledge Of Mobile Application Functionality And Performance Testing.
5. Basic Understanding Of Programming Concepts Related To Android Development.Certification
1. Optional But Valuable Certifications Such As Istqb Certified Tester, Advanced Level Or Google Associate Android Developer.
Compensation and Benefits
A candidate’s pay within the range will depend on their skills, experience, education, and other factors permitted by law. This role may also be eligible for performance-based bonuses subject to company policies. In addition, this role is eligible for the following benefits subject to company policies: medical, dental, vision, pharmacy, life, accidental death & dismemberment, and disability insurance; employee assistance program; 401(k) retirement plan; 10 days of paid time off per year (some positions are eligible for need-based leave with no designated number of leave days per year); and 10 paid holidays per year.
