Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced German Speaking Release Manager (Minimum B2 level) to oversee the release processes. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in release management practices, and project management. He/she will be responsible for ensuring the quality and timely delivery of releases related to all applications (including mobile and cloud apps) while minimizing risks and maximizing efficiency.

This role is not primarily technical but rather focuses on organizational abilities and soft skills.

Release Management:

Manage the end-to-end release process of both Application and Infrastructure Services, including planning, scheduling, coordinating, and tracking releases across different environments. Create and participate in overall Release planning and forecasting; this also includes the collection, contact, quality assurance and consolidation of content supplied by third parties.

Quality Assurance:

Establish and enforce quality assurance standards and processes to ensure the reliability, scalability, and performance of Application and Infrastructure Service releases.

Risk Management:

Identify potential risks and issues related to release activities and develop mitigation strategies to address them effectively.

Collaboration:

Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including development, product management, and operations, to ensure alignment on release priorities, timelines, and requirements

Reporting and Communication:

Provide regular updates, reports and metrics on release activities to stakeholders, highlighting progress, issues, and areas for improvement. Create record of all releases for all applications (including mobile apps and cloud apps) in service management tool.

Tools:

Knowledge in ServiceNow and ALM by Opentext (Application Lifecycle Test Software) are beneficial.
