Job description:
Software Asset Management Manager Key Responsibilities:
1. ServiceNow SAM Pro Management: Oversee the administration and configuration of ServiceNow SAM Pro module, ensuring it accurately reflects the organization's software assets, license entitlements, and compliance status.
2. Software License Management: Manage a diverse portfolio of software licenses across vendors and products, including but not limited to Microsoft, Oracle, Adobe, and other major software providers.
3. License Entitlement Tracking: Maintain detailed records of software license entitlements, including license types, quantities, agreements, renewal terms, and associated metrics, within ServiceNow SAM Pro. Supporting Organization in software renewal true-ups for various publisher.
4. Compliance Assurance: Conduct regular audits and assessments of ServiceNow licensing usage to ensure compliance with contractual agreements, regulatory requirements, and organizational policies, and address any compliance issues or discrepancies proactively.
5. CMDB assessment from a Software Asset Management (SAM) standpoint: It involves evaluating the CMDB's capability to effectively support SAM processes and objectives. -
I. Data Accuracy and Completeness Ensuring all the devices across the organization are getting discovered.
II. Discovery and Inventory - Evaluate discovering and inventorying software assets across the organization's IT environment. For Example, identifying Missing editions and version of software products in discovery, missing Oracle Options and packs usage information etc.
III. Dependency Mapping Ensuring all type of VM are mapped with their respective host and host are mapped with their clusters and Vcenter.
6. Optimization Strategies: Develop and implement strategies to optimize software license allocation, minimize costs, and maximize the value of software investments, leveraging ServiceNow SAM Pro functionalities and best practices.
7. Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and enhance ServiceNow licensing management processes, workflows, and tools to streamline operations, improve efficiency, and enhance the overall effectiveness of licensing management practices.
8. Stay Updated: Stay updated with the latest developments, trends, and best practices in ServiceNow licensing management, attend relevant training sessions and conferences, and share knowledge and insights with the team to drive continuous improvement.
- To independently resolve tickets and esnure that the agreed SLA of ticket volume and time are met for the team.
- To provide support for on call escalations orL3 level support and doing incident and problem management
- Work on value adding activities such Knowledge base update and management, Training freshers, coaching analysts and conducting interviewsorparticipation in hiring drives.
- To adhere to quality standards, regulatory requirements and company policies
- To ensure positive customer experience and CSAT through First Call Resolution and minimum rejected resolutions or Reopen Cases
- To participate or contribute on EN business in creation of proposals to drive Service improvement plans.
